Elm is a new language for building browser based applications that brings
together the purity of Haskell and the pragmatism of JavaScript in hopes of
getting the best of both worlds. Tune in as Chris and Joël dive into Elm to
see what it's all about.
Ever since seeing some talks on Elm at this year’s Strange Loop, it’s been my new language obsession. I’m wondering if there is anyone else out there actively playing with or using Elm. While I find most aspects of it straightforward, as I start to play with more complex things like ports, Tasks and the Http package, I’m getting a bit bogged down.
Is there anyone out there who would like to share knowledge or pair on some Elm code?
In case anyone is local to Boston and interested in Elm, I just noticed a new Elm meetup group has just been formed. They’ve yet to set a date and time for the first meeting. Here’s the URL for the meetup.
I’ve been following updates from the Elm Weekly newsletter which puts out weekly updates on the package ecosystem, useful blog posts and meetups in the Elm community. You can find more info at http://www.elmweekly.nl.
