How do you create animated gifs like the one in your pull requests?

A picture is worth 1000 words, but an animated gif can save a phone call!

This would help my workflow incredibly. No more long bulleted explanations about how to reproduce bugs.

I’m a huge fan of gifs in PRs for any multi-page or workflow type features.

The application I use is called Licecap. In addition, I recorded a section in the Mastering Git trail on including Gifs in PRs as part of the video about thoughtbot’s git flow.
