Design Brief: andytrombone.net

Hi @kylefiedler et al.
As it says on the tin…

andytrombone.net Design Brief

A brief summary of the business / site goals.

This will be my personal website.

It should reflect aspects of who I am by detailing my areas of interest: programming, music, and sailing.

The key users.

I am the primary user of this site. It will contain a variety of resources including written word, audio, video, and photography.

I will use it to host a blog to record my continuing development as a Software Developer.

I will use this site to record details (routes and images) of some of my sailing trips.

I will use this site to record some of my favourite music links, recordings, and performances, by myself and by others.

Scenarios in which your app or site will be used.

This is a vanity project. If anyone else wants to follow it, that is fine - but I am primarily doing this for me.

Design style guidelines to follow.

Mobile and Desktop friendly site.

Balanced, easy-on-the-eye colours and layout.

Unambiguous navigation.

Consistent design principles between the different areas of interest.

But…subtle individual design aspects for each different area of interest.

Love this.

For the guidelines think about what personality you want to show online. What is your voice going to be on the blog? What is the tone you want to set with the photos on trips and music?
